We know that even if your hands look clean
they can still have germs.
We painted our hands with pretend germs so we could
practice washing our hands properly.
We used soap and water.
In Room 11 we filled the "Positive Pebble Jar!" For our reward we got to make healthy Fruit Smoothies. We made three different kinds, berry, banana and peach. YUM!
Today Ryan's mum Vicki came to tell us all about bones.
Vicki takes photos of peoples bones. This is called an xray.
We learnt that ...
* Bones protect us. Our skull protects our brain and
our ribs protect our heart.
* Babies have 300 bones in their bodies and adults
have 206 bones.
*Cheese, yoghurt, milk, exercise and sun are all
very good for our bones.
We wanted to show what we learnt about spider webs. We painted our own webs making sure that we had anchor threads and snare threads.
We have been finding out about lots of different small
living creatures and where they live.
We went on a 'Bug Hunt' at the Ashhurst Domain.
Room 11 had heaps of fun and found lots
of interesting creatures.
We are now thinking about what we want to
find out about all these creatures.
What do you wonder about small living creatures?
This term Room 11 will be learning all about small living creatures such as insects, where they live and why. This will be a Science based Inquiry unit. You can follow and join us on our learning journey here on our class blog. we will be posting new material about our learning every few days. Please join us on our learning journey and leave comments sharing you opinions and knowledge.
